  • Applicants must pass a points test, complete an approved skills assessment, and demonstrate competent English.

Skilled Nominated Visa (Subclass 190)

A permanent visa for those nominated by an Australian state or territory government.
  • Grants an additional 5 points, boosting your overall score to qualify through the points-tested stream.
  • Requires commitment to live and work in the nominating region for a minimum period (usually 2 years).
  • Strengthens provincial skills shortages by fulfilling occupation demand in specific regions

Skilled Work Regional Visa (Subclass 491)

A 5-year provisional visa designed for skilled workers nominated by a regional authority or by family sponsorship.
  • Requires nomination by a state/territory government or sponsorship from an eligible relative residing in designated regional areas.
  • Provides 15 bonus points for regional nomination—boosting eligibility significantly.
  • Allows you, your partner, and children to live, work, study, travel, and access Medicare in regional Australia.
  • May lead to PR with Subclass 191 after fulfilling residence, work, and income requirements.

Permanent Residence Visa (Subclass 191)
