Allows skilled workers to be sponsored by an employer when no Australian worker is available.

Employer Nomination Scheme (Subclass 186)

A permanent visa for skilled workers nominated by their employer. Requires:

Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional Visa (Subclass 494)

For jobs in designated regional areas. Requires nomination and at least 3 years of experience.

Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (RSMS)

Closed to new applicants but still relevant for past transitional applicants.

Temporary Work Visa (Subclass 400)

Short-term visa for specialized non-ongoing work.

Temporary Activity Visa (Subclass 408)

For invited participants in specific programs such as entertainment, research, religious work, or COVID-19 response.

DAMA (Designated Area Migration Agreement)

Customized agreements between the Australian Government and regional areas.
