Partner-Visa

Partner Visa (Subclass 820/801 & 309/100)

The Partner Visa enables the spouse or de facto partner of an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen to live in Australia.
This visa is processed in two stages:

  • Temporary Partner Visa (Subclass 820 – onshore / Subclass 309 – offshore)
  • Permanent Partner Visa (Subclass 801 – onshore / Subclass 100 – offshore)

Dependent-Visa

Prospective Marriage Visa (Subclass 300)

This temporary visa is for individuals who are engaged to an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen and intend to marry in Australia within the visa validity period. It allows the applicant to enter Australia, marry their partner, and then apply for a Partner visa.

We assist with:

  • Presenting evidence of a genuine intention to marry, including wedding plans and communications
  • Documenting your relationship history, including photos, travel records, and personal statements
  • Compiling financial, social, household, and mutual commitment evidence

Parent Visa (Subclass 103)

This is a permanent visa for parents of Australian citizens, permanent residents, or eligible New Zealand citizens. It allows parents to live in Australia permanently. While the processing time is long, it is a more affordable option compared to other parent visas.

  • Checking if you meet the Balance of Family Test (more children living in Australia than elsewhere)

Contributory Parent Visas (Subclass 143/173)

These visas allow parents of Australian citizens, permanent residents, or eligible New Zealand citizens to live in Australia. They offer faster processing times compared to standard parent visas, but come with higher government fees due to the contribution to public services.

  • Subclass 173 is a temporary visa valid for 2 years, and it cannot be extended or renewed. However, holders can apply for the permanent Subclass 143 visa during or before the temporary visa expires.
  • Subclass 143 is the permanent version and can be applied for directly or as a follow-up to the 173 visa.

The key benefit is that these visas can usually be applied for while the applicant is in Australia, allowing them to stay legally during processing.

  • Subclass 804 is a low-cost permanent visa but comes with a very long processing time (often many years).
  • Subclass 884 is a temporary visa (2 years) and is a pathway to the permanent Subclass 864.
  • Subclass 864 is a faster permanent visa option but involves higher application charges.

Requirements include:

  • Sponsorship by an eligible child who lives in Australia
  • Proof of the sponsor’s sufficient taxable income
  • No need to pass the Balance of Family Test
  • Applicants must hold health insurance and meet character requirements
  • The visa does not lead to permanent residency
  • No work rights are granted on this visa
